French-Czech pop star, songwriter, actress and tv host.
After finishing her studies at Sciences Po Paris (MA European Affairs) and at the Freie Universitat Berlin (MA International Affairs), she started her professional career as a news presenter of the prime-time news coverage on the main Czech private TV channel (TV Nova).
She has released two albums, What I’ve Done (2016) and By Now (2022), and has toured her music extensively.
Her international backgrounds are key to the many musical influences on her work: soul, R&B, gipsy music, THE BEATLES, indie rock, hip hop, electronica, 90’s pop and good old-fashioned disco.
Her top hits in radio charts include ballads “Tahle jedna vteřina” and “Dream On”, as well as dance tracks such as “Chase It”, “Night Races” and “Can’t Give You Up“. All of Emma’s singles have their own music video (over 13m views on YouTube in total), some of which have been nominated at the prestigious Czech musical awards (Ceny Andel).
Her most popular duets with Jordan Haj, her life partner, include “By Now”, “No Fire”, “Love Is Blind” or “Lost And Found” .
As an actress, she has appeared in over 20 films and TV Series and played the lead role in the musical comedy “Lucie” in the Karlin musical theatre (2014-2016). She has performed in English, French, German and Czech and has had the chance to work with internationally acclaimed directors such as Oscar winner Jiri Menzel or Oscar nominee Agnieszka Holland (their latest collaboration is Franz, a European biopic about Franz Kafka.)
In August 2024, she was the host of the Czech House at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
Emma is also well-known for her work as a news anchor (TV Nova) and interviewer (DVTV). Her interview with singer Billie Eilish was one of those which went viral.
She has performed at major Czech and Slovak festivals, including Colours Of Ostrava (2025, 2024), Grape (2023) and Karlovy Vary Film Festival (2025, 2024, 2023, 2022). Her biggest concert, alongside Jordan Haj, was Forum Karlin Prague (2023) with an audience of 3000.
She has been the cover star of many Czech lifestyle magazines and the Brand Ambassador for YSL Beauty, L’Oréal Professionnel, Aperol Spritz, Barbie, Nespresso, Tezenis, Zadig & Voltaire, Marks & Spencer and Mercedes-Benz Vans.
